This hotel is nice, we stayed for a week end and had no problem. The room is not big, but it's OK, and the bed is confortable. The TV is a LCD but really small. Great service, bright and clean rooms, hearty breakfast. Very convenient location for the Burgerbad and city centre restaurants - all one needs after skiing all day. About 7 min walk to the main ski lifts or there is a bus stop next to the hotel. A perfect place for a week away. More

Hotel Viktoria was just awful. There were so many things wrong with this place, it is a wonder they were able to achieve a three star rating. 1.) Sheets were not only thin, but pilled too. Its a great little hotel with very friendly managers who can communicate in German, French and English (and maybe more?) very well. Our room had a balcony on the south side, facing down the valley with a great view. Very comfortable beds, lots of room to move around, great variety of channels on the TV. We hiked over the Gemmi from Kandersteg and stayed overnight at Schwarenbach which was wonderful! When making the reservation, the hotel's website stated that we could only book for 4 nights.
