While visiting our daughter at Aberystwyth University we stopped at this pristine Relais et Château hotel for afternoon tea. Thanks to a warm sunny day, we had tea, coffee and scones with intriguingly delicious jam in the front garden, surrounded by a rich variety of rhododendrons. With a wonderfully attentive staff the whole experience really made us feel being with... More

We just spent 2 nights at Ynyshir Hall and it was wonderful. If you are looking for calm, a natural, unspoilt environment and a sense of well being, look no further. It is like staying in your own private country house with a team of unobtrusive staff on hand when required. The house retains its charm, the grounds are stunning... More

Just returned from a nights stay to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I first stayed here 12 to 13 years ago with a friend whilst renovating a house near by, so was well aware of the beautiful setting of the Hotel and had always said that I would go back again with my Husband. As has been said before the... More

Long before we arrived at the lovely Ynyshir Hall I had begun putting them to the test, after various web searches and reading of travel sites I contacted the Ynyshir via email, very quickly I had a response from the Proprietor herself Joan Reen and early indications were that all our requirements could be easily met, those being that we... The location of the hotel is just so stunning, private and the hotel has got its own private garden (about 25 acres) all around it so you can go for a stroll while catching some panoramic glimpse of Welsh mountain and wildlife. There are so many things to do within half an hour's drive that one could never ever get... More

A real gem of a place run by a lovely couple who are clearly dedicated to providing fabulous food in a lovely country setting. Gorgeous artwork adorn the house and it combines a homely feel with a top quality resteraunt. Will return.

When you leave London for a short domestic break you long for something special - away from the crowds and with super service to reward you for living in a busy city. Ynyshir Hall delivers 100%. We arrived late by train from London and the hotel was all lit up- roaring log fire in the bar and the most welcoming... More

Extremely comfortable but room needs refurbishing. Overall, very expensive but staff lovely. Dinner not quite up to expectations, the main course comprising of 2 miniscule pieces of venison with a soggy parsnip crisp. The best course was the cherry souffle. Dont have the sandwiches..£11+ for chicken and avocado in toasted bread, the chicken was extremely thinly sliced and had the... More

From the individually themed bedrooms (based on famous artists) to the fine dining experience, everything about Ynyshir Hall is of a high quality. The service is superb and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. The experience comes at a price of course but the price is correct. One of the owners is himself an artist and his paintings,...
