We stayed for one night while visiting Stratford. Lovely quiet location with views of open fields. We liked the balcony. We were particularly appreciative that Gillian made the room available to us quickly when we arrived earlier than we said we would. The Snitterfield Arms (just about within walking distance) does good bar food and has attentive staff.

To get away from it all, in the cold february month, to a warm and inviting guest house, with a host as welcoming as Gillian, was a tonic. Visiting from Spain....Myself and my daughters spent 3 days at Hill Cottage while visiting familiy in the area. We were made extremely welcome....nothing was too much trouble, and my daughters thought it was the most enchanting English cottage, and they loved walking through the gardens and taking photos of the bluebells. The breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend Hill Cottage.
