Very attentive staff with a surprisingly good menu.Rooms have all you need and free wifi always appreciated.A bit out of the way yet near to Stratford on Avon and other nice places to visit.Do try the Bell Inn restaurant as well for good food-only 3 miles away More

Stayed overnight (20/4/12), the hotel is charming and the staff very friendly. Ideal for Stratford 10 mins drive away. Had a excellent meal in the restaurant. Room was clean and tidy. good value for money. More

This is a review of the accommodation only my restaurant review is contained in "restaurants". The building is charming and is in a perfect location for visiting Stratford and the surrounding areas. The room I had was tired and well worn. The bathroom was cold and not pleasant. The bed would have needed a new mattress about five years ago.The access... More

We used a free voucher to stay here to see a show at the RSC, so to be honest we weren't expecting too much. The room however was clean ,comfy bed (if only a double), brilliant shower, free Wifi and sensible digital TV (no stupid hotel sky or pay per view TV) and well stocked with shower gels, coffee etc.... We didn't stay here, just popped in for dinner. The staff didn't acknowledge us at first and we spent some time trying to get attention as they rushed past us with no eye contact or even a nod. They did redeem themselves later! As the restaurant was fully booked we had to eat in the bar area which was fine... More

My wife and i went for a meal in the first week of february. Superb food, friendly staff, and we will be back, but it is the third time we have been in the winter months, and the restaurant always seems cold! Would have scored it higher if the room was warmer. More

My partner and I stayed at the Blue Boar overnight as a stop off between Yorkshire and Portsmouth and to be honest we used a free voucher for the room but having stayed would certainly have paid the £70 some pound for the room. The room itself was fairly basic but very comfortable, it was clean, had the largest supply... More

We were given a cold older style room at first then asked to move and for the price, it was pretty nice! Honestly the first room was unacceptable even at a basement price, seventies style decor and very cold, but clean. Location is very close to Stratford, I would stay again for a bargain price- as long as we got... More

We stayed at this pub last weekend and it was possibly the worst nights sleep I have ever had. The bed was as hard as rock, the walls and paperthin and we heard everything, and I mean everything!! that was going on in the room next door. At breakfast on Sunday morning, they don't seem to know whether they are... More

I sometimes wonder if all of the reviewers have stayed in the same place, as there seems to be such a wide variety of experiences. This is a country pub, with a country restaurant and en-suite B&B. This is not the Ritz or a flash restaurant. We stayed for one night over the last weekend and were more than satisfied.... More
