Just back from weekend stay. Good location and lovely grounds and views. However, hotel was very tired and in need of some serious tlc. Quite nice bedroom, four poster bed, but very let down by bathroom which although a good size, is in need of some serious attention (and crying out for a roll top bath!!). Staff were ok, though... Location is lovely, beautiful views and grounds. The hotel is tired and dated but we were advised that the owners are in the process of updating the main house, and their were still some lovely features. Most of the staff were wonderful; attentive and very friendly, our let down was one member of staff who refused point blank to allow... More

Great views towards Bath from the pretty garden. House looks good, rooms in the annex are comfortable and well-equipped but make sure you check the alarm on the (new) television!!! The house itself looks very tired inside the main building and the road in is a bit rough. However, breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. OK... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and it is perfectly located for exploring Bath and the local area. We stayed in a suite in the outhouse part of the hotel and it was really like a mini apartment. It was very clean, modern and worth every penny as we only paid £110 a night which is not alot these days... More

Lovely property with nicely manicured gardens, staff very helpful and conscientious. The building is very old but quaint and there is a lovely touch of open fires in some of the communal rooms. Hotel was full but my room 3 was quite tired. Very cold outside but no heating on in room. Room quite small had cheap TV and shabby... More

Went for a wedding recently and the place looked amazing when you arrive. It is a little worn but the gardens are lovely. I was however really surprised, having travelled from London that they were charging £5.10 for a single spirit and mixer. Served in a tiny tumbler with melted ice and soggy lemon pieces. Its not that expensive in... More

Stayed here with work for a number of nights in 3 different rooms on business. The rooms in the new build are very nice very roomy and clean. However there were different opinions from work collegues who stayed in the old house. Staff are fab very polite and helpful. My only issue is the prices. £1.95 for a very small... More

Dear Dots_11 Thank you for your review we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We have a mix of traditional rooms in the main house and modern, contemporary rooms in our Treetops building. I have passed on your positive comments to chef regarding the food and we have also revised our bar prices to be inline with our local competitors.... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night in April for walking in Wiltshire and shopping in Shepton Mallet. We booked the hotel based on the price which was pretty reasonable. The hotel is within a short driving distance of the lovely town of Bradford on Avon which is good for shops and restaurants. We stayed in the new building... More
