Our family had an overnight stay here. The owner was welcoming and the accommodation tidy, clean ,warm and well equipped. Room 1 was at the rear of the property, spacious and slept 3. Even thought it was on a main road we had a noise free night and slept well in the comfortable beds. The En-suite with shower was a... More

We stayed at The Acorn guest house in Chesterfield when going to visit family nearby. It's within easy walking distance of the town center & train station & such a nice little property. The whole experience was pleasant from start to finish. It's a lovely well kept building & the lady who runs it was really nice & made us... More

My wife and I stayed for one night on our tour of the Peak District. The owners were very friendly and made us feel at home. Our ground floor room was simple, clean and with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The location was great for visiting the town - only five minutes walk to the centre... More

We had a wedding anniversary party to attend on the western outskirts of Chesterfield, and could find nothing available in that area for a single Saturday night. What luck; it forced us to widen the search as far as the Sheffield Road, and we found Acorns. It’s perfectly sited only 5-10 minutes (depending upon whether you like uphill or not)... More

My second stay there - last was a few years ago. Although on my own I had a big double room for not much over a single room price. Breakfast very good indeed More

What a lovely guest tucked away, within walking distance from the town centre. It was a better experience than some four and five star hotels i have stayed in in the past. The party of eight we had thought the rooms were spacious, light and clean. Will definitely be going back and will recommend it to family and friends. More

My hubbie and I stayed here as we were visiting friends in the area. We were warmly welcomed by gaynor and shown to our room. The room was clean and bright - great use of space and beautiful stylish decor. Plenty of hot water for a shower. Just under 10 mins walk into town so great location. Breakfast was great.... More

We stayed there for one night mid-September to visit Chatsworth. The room had a great size (the biggest of all our trip to England), and was very clean and well furnished. It is adequately situated close to downtown, but we still took a cab to go to the train station. Full English breakfast was served, and it was very good.... More
