We had a meal at the Ashford Arms hotel for our wedding anniversary, we couldn't have wished for a better meal, the staff were very polite and really helpfull, we will be going there there again very soon, you will find it just north of Bakewell on the A6 towards Buxton.

Booked in for a 2 night stay at the Ashford Arms. We went for the excellent walking right on the doorstep. The staff were very welcoming and friendly . Had our 2 evening meals in the restaurant - good food and reasonably priced - £8 to £9 for most main meals. The breakfast was also very good value . Our... More

Stayed with a group of friends whilst on a walking weekend taking 6 of their rooms. The location was excellent however the Ashford Arms is in desperate need of an overhaul. The rooms were tired, TV's in 4 of the rooms didn't work properly, there appears no water pressure so the showers are next to useless and not all rooms... More

Pleasant venue, reasonable service, reasonable prices. Food OK but just lacks the wow factor. Had Thai fish cakes here - OK; had Thai fish cakes in a Thai restaurant later - wonderful! Trout was OK but just a bit bland. Also must bones removed but not all. Rather have it one way or the other. In common with many eating... More

Stayed at the Ashford Arms for two nights ate there on the Saturday night the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. On the Sunday we visited Chatsworth House which is well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Breakfast on Sunday and Monday was very good and the bedroom was just what we needed... More

We had a short 1 night break away with friends in this very picturesque village - very friendly welcome - excellent evening meal at reasonable prices with a decent choice of real ales and a tasty breakfast the next morning. My only negative observation was that the bedroom was a little 'tired' and need of some TLC to get it... More

Visited Ashford Arms with my husband for Sunday lunch. Food was excellent, Staff extremely friendly and attentive and atmosphere warm. This is deservedly a very popular venue with lots of mixed parties of people. Will certainly visit again.
