My parents and I stayed in a room at Muxnaw for 3 nights. The lodge was charming with some nice antiques, especially the armoire in our room. The dining area was lovely and we really enjoyed the fresh scones and marmalade each morning by the fire. Hannah, though, was the highlight of our stay at Muxnaw. She made great recommendations... Just returned from a lovely stay at Muxnaw Lodge. Our hostess was warm and welcoming, the breakfast (especially the warm brown bread!) was wonderful and served in a cozy room with a view of the bay. Kenmare was charming with lively pubs featuring Irish music and raucous sing-a-longs. Our room had a sweeping view of the harbor and the hills... More

As a traveler, you occasionally strike gold when you least expect it. Searching for two rooms at 8 p.m. on a Sunday evening, we drove up the long driveway to Muxnaw Lodge after seeing an unlit sign out of the corner of our eye. We rang the bell and were warmly greeted by Hannah Boland, who ushered us into her... More

We stayed 2 nights at Muxnaw Lodge on our recent trip to Ireland. Four of us stayed in two very large rooms with ensuite baths that were huge by Irish standards. Hannah, the B&B owner was our most gracious hostess. Her home is beautiful. Breakfast was plentiful. Walking into town was made somewhat treacherous due to the paving on the... More

My mother and I were traveling together and required two single rooms. They were both quiet, very comfortable and were slightly separated from the more spacious twin and double rooms by a small corridor which allowed extra privacy as we moved between each room. The owner, Hannah, was a delightful, warm, friendly person and the service she provided was exactly... More

My sister and I recently traveled the south coast of Ireland. We staying in 5 different locations from Dublin to Shannon, Kenmare being our third or fourth stop. We tried to make our trip as cost effective as possible (less room fees=more beer), but also wanted to avoid the scuzzy places while we traveled. I was the most pleased with... More

Muxnaw Lodge is a lovely 19th century house situated within walking distance of Kenmare. We really enjoyed the large & beautifully furnished room. The bath was a plus. Hannah was a friendly & thoughtful host. Breakfasts were exceptionally good, & the dining room was charming. More

I stayed for two nights, along with two friends....I got a fantastic single room with a great bath with seemingly endless hot water....Besides being a great host, Hannah Boland cooked the best breakfast I have had in an Irish B & B.......The view, and proximity to town, a short walk over the bridge, made this the perfect spot as a... Kenmare is a fantastic base for exploring Ireland's southwest and Muxnaw Lodge is a warm, relaxing haven at which to stay. It's a short walk into the laid back heart of the town and Hannah, the owner, not only provided a wonderful residence but also had numerous tips and hints for really experiencing what the region had to offer. She... More

I loved staying with Hannah! She is so charming and welcoming. Her 200 year old home was wonderful... large, clean rooms and a HUGE bathtub. The views over her gardens looking out to the river was a bonus. Breakfast with a fire in the fireplace was a delight. A little light music would have made it even better. Loved her... More
