We had somethig to eat in the bar.........there was only one bar person on and she was extremley unfriendly and unhelpfull. The recption area smelled of toilets was cold and uninviting. More

Stayed there for 2 nights in April. While the staff were very friendly and helpful the hotel itself ls in a very run down state. The bedroom we had needs a complete make over and a thorough cleaning especially the bathroom. More

Very impressed by the size of rooms and they seemed recently decorated. Very clean and fresh. Evening meal was just carvery so went elsewhere. Breakfast quite good - staff uniforms could be smarter. Spent one night at the Holyrood this month. Overall impression was that the place could do with sprucing up. The room was okay but felt tired and dated. The 'full irish' breakfast was very good and the hotel is ideally located on the main street, but a facelift is definately required! More

Stayed at Hollyrood the last 2 days. Got a great discount deal. Its true what they say. If it sounds too cheap, theres a reason. Hotel is old fashioned but wont critisize that too much.
