Stayed here for two nights. Hosts friendly enough however no attention to detail. Rooms small, bathroom even smaller. No hot water at 7:00 am. Host said he has it on a timer and didn't know why. Also late getting up and came down after 8 to start breakfast. Bkfst okay but think oatmeal was packaged. Community hairdryer in upstairs foyer.... More

In our recent trip to Ireland, we stayed in seven b&bs and Castle Lodge was our favorite by far. All amenities worked perfectly, the food was excellent, the bed was comfortable - all things you should expect. The town and the train station for Dublin are only a few blocks away. The airport is a 10 minute drive. The one... More

Gerry and Eithne were lovely hosts. When we checked in, our room was not quite ready (which was fine! we got there way early just expecting to drop off our bags) and they offered us a lovely cup of tea. Terrific hosts. The rooms were nice---the bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The breakfast area was well... More

We found the Castle Lodge on our next to the last night in Ireland. Wonderful stay Gerry and Eithne were very helpful. They welcome you into their home like you are family. It's like staying with your gram! They gave us directions so we could walk to the local pub where we had a nice dinner while joining in Arthur's... More

I accidentally came across this B&B while touring around Malahide, and what a Godsend! Gerry and Eithne have thought of every possible way to make your stay with them a complete delight, right down to their commercial-sized scale for weighing your suitcase before getting on the plane. They have personally drawn maps for how to take the back roads to... More

4 of us stayed here on saturday evening. The hostess Eithne Rafferty couldn't have been nicer to us. The first thing she asked us when we arrived is if we would like some refreshments even though there was a kettle/Tea/Coffee etc in the rooms. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you could need and having stayed in other B... More

Why we love Castle Lodge: 1. Gerry and Eithne are generous hosts: they welcomed us in their home when we arrived at 8am, chatted about Ireland in their cozy common areas, and gave us an amazing send-off, complete with coddle and a sing-along with their friends. 2. Fantastic breakfasts. We stayed at many B&Bs and their breakfasts were our favorite.... More

We only spent a night there, but it was perfect, we couldn't wish for more for a relaxing weekend. The best is the kindness of the owners, they made our stay very nice! The place is simple, but we got everything we needed. The rooms are clean, the living room was really nice. A bit far from Malahide centre, but... More
