My husband had a medical emergency shortly after we arrived in Kinsale. We couldn't have coped with this without Jimmie and Noreen's support and assistance--making phone calls, providing snacks for the road, and arranging a taxi for a sudden trip to the hospital in Cork. Although we didn't have a chance to see much of Kinsale, we hope to return... More

Everything about the San Antonio was perfect! Jimmie is incredibly welcoming and he provides great information about Kinsale's restaurants, pubs and even where to find live music. His recommendations were spot on! The rooms are funky but very cozy and comfortable, but my husband and I prefer to choose affordable stays so that we can experience more in the area... More

Rang up Jimmy from the road & booked the room on Friday evening. We lucked out because it was jazz weekend & pretty much everything else we were considering was booked. Got there in the evening & Jimmy was there to greet us. Very nice rooms & fantastic breakfasts. He recommended Zuul's for dinner one night & we weren't disappointed.

I stayed for the weekend during the Gourmet Festival this month. Jimmy is the best host I've ever come across, he is so attentive to the needs of his guests...and how he remembers everybody is beyond me. I stayed in 2008 and 2009 and each time there was a group of us and he knew who was who, which really... More

I spend three glorious nights as this B&B with my husband. We're on a whirlwind tour of Europe. The minute I left Jimmie and the San Antonio I immediately missed them. He was the most pleasant proprieter, always offering suggestions and being accomodating. He let us chill beers in the fridge, and stocked our room with clean pint glasses every... More

An interesting diversion from the usual Irish hotels, if you're into the whole B&B thang. Just up the hill from the town center. Host was off on a musical gig when we arrived early evening, so we handled our own luggage. Parking on the narrow lanes of Kinsale is in short supply, so the miniscule 3-space parking at the B&B... What a super place to stay. The B&B is located in the heart of Kinsale but situated on a quiet side steet. Jimmy was the perfect host and we felt very welcome on arrival. The B&B is an old building with a modern upgrade and has a wide feature staircase to all floors. Our room was at the top floor,... More

FANTASTIC! Every word that the previous reviewers who scored the San Antonio B&B a "5" is absolutely true. Both home and host are charming. Jimmie went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and comfortable. I only wish that we could have experienced his musical talents while we were there. Definately a place to return to in the future.

This is a hidden gem centrally located and within easy walking distance of pubs, eating, shopping and the pier. This was our second stay with Jimmie and he is the ultimate host. He greeted us at the door and carried suitcases to the second floor. His breakfasts are unbeatable! And, he is a great source of information on anything you... More

We stayed over the Kinsale Rugby Seven's weekend but nothing was too much trouble for Jimmie and the staff. We could come and go as we pleased and Jimmie was a font of all knowledge as to the best places to go and eat, to visit and we even saw him sing in the Spaniard pub with Michael. We had... More
