I have stayed in the woodlands many many times and each time they some how manage to top themselves.
I have visited with both family and friends and have enjoyed every moment.the staff, food and especially the spa are at the top end of Ireland's list in my opinion.
Would recommended a trip here to anyone looking for a relaxing...

Stayed here in May 2012 and really enjoyed it....Bar lovely, staff very friendly...even got some free snack food as there was alot of sport on that day..room was lovely, bright and airy and bed very comfy...there was also alot of functions going on and everything was running very smoothly...plenty of very nice staff....will return. recently had a lovely stay at the fitzgearld woodlands hotel..friendly staff who couldnt be more helpful if they tried..great food and lovely atmosphere. leisure centre was great..its rare you get a swimming pool with warm water! will definetly stay again..great value. credit due to all the staff.

Had a lovely w/e stay at the Fitzgerlad Woodlands Hotel. All of the staff we met were extremely helpful, and even with hotel renovations ongoing, it did not interupt our stay. The hotel was very busy with weddings over the w/e we were there but the hotel managed the volume of guests very well, especially at breakfast time.

We stayed in the woodlands for one night over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel is a bit out side the village and the roads are not suitable for walking.
