“Gorgeous spot in the Ring of Kerry”

Margaret and Alan were wonderful hosts. We stayed nearly a week and the Old Cable House became our headquarters for our visit to our ancestral home. Alan is marvelous cook and a great conversationalist. Breakfast was fabulous every morning. He even made dinner for us one evening and it was delicious. “What a great little B&B”

This place is a real gem. Definitely recommend staying here. The food is very good and the rooms are cosy. Walking distance to everything. Nice owners. Make sure you head down to the Fisherman's Pub is you are a golfer or a fisherman

“Would stay here again”

Nice clean accommodation with character and a friendly hostess. Bright and spacious room. Large parking area. Close to everything. Basic but nice breakfast. I rang to book instead of online and got a really good rate. Only problem was the crying baby at 12 am. Not their fault of course.....especially seeing as it was my baby!!! Would stay there again

“Don't be fooled by "HISTORIC"”

There's nothing 'Historic" about our room or any of the building we saw. In fact, it was pretty cold and dreadful. No towels and 1/8 inch of toilet paper on the roll which had to double as tissue to kill bugs and spiders. Bathroom cold and hard, no towel rack, no hook, bare-bones. We spent only one night in The Old Cable Historic House. The staff was absolutely friendly, the breakfast was marvellous, but we found our room far too small. We could hardly open the bathroom door because the bed was in the way... There was very little space to move.

Loved our stay at the cable house . Waterville is stunning and the B & B is only a 5 min walk to the village centre .
