Recommended in guide book but on arrival was full and offered room with ensuite in adjacent building. Located in main town 15 minutes walk from Rock of Cashel. Quite OK with nice breakfast next morning back in main building.

Stayed here for a night with 3 friends in December. We had 2 twin rooms (1 single, 1 double bed). Private car parking in back very useful.
Place is very central yet still off the main road to be quiet.
Breakfast times are flexible and food was ok.
Overall very reasonable price.

Very nice stay at the Ashmore. We especially liked the location, which was just a short walk to the center of town (pubs, shopping, restaurants, "the Rock", etc...). Brendon was a charmer and his 2 year old grand daughter (who was visiting) was as well.
We'd certainly recommend this B&B to our friends, family, and fellow travelers.

I brought a small group to this bed & breakfast for a night's stay. Laura and Brendon were wonderful hosts to my group of 10. The rooms are clean. the breakfast was good (eggs and salmon!). The location is one short block off the main road in Cashel; but we had nobody experience any road noise. The walk to the...

The Ashmore House was originally built for a 19th Century mayor of Cashel. It is aged, but comfortable. Breakfast was large and tasty. The Ashmore is within an easy walk to the Rock of Cashel and downtown for restaurants, pubs, shopping is only a few blocks away. Proprietors Brendan and Laura Ryan are friendly and helpful.

We stayed there for one night in April 2011.
The host was wonderfull. Ever since the phone call I made to book the room, all through our stay and up to our departure.
The room was nice and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.
We definately recommend this B&B in central Cashel for anyone who wants to visit the Rock...

Ashore House was our first stop on our recent 21 day tour of Ireland; we were happy to find off street parking for the car and happy that the house is so close to the town center.
The hosts were friendly and very welcoming as was their little dog, though I do question the fact that he roamed freely for...

Stayed here by chance after passing on another BnB down the street. Brendon & Laura (and Tipsy) were very hospitable, Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The house dates from the 1740's, so rooms small, as to be expected. Still, very clean & comfy. Free parking is a plus, especially within walking distance of town center and the Rock. Be aware:...

Big old house in town, walking distance from the Rock and secure parking.
The room was small but adequate.

We chose Ashmore House partly because it has private parking, unlike some of other B&Bs closer to the Rock, where you need to make more complicated arrangements. The house dates from about 1750, and it has not been much modernized, but it is very welcoming. Laura and Brendan (Wally?) and Tipsy the poodle are helpful about what to do and...
