We found this hostel from the TI office in Cahir and while it was cheaper than a B&B, it was the worst hostel we stayed in (and we stayed in quite a few during our budget trip to Ireland). We were forced to 'rent' bed sheets since we didn't bring our own (which we never had to do at any... More

How can it be? I've been hostelling world-wide for over 25 years now but I've never seen such a place. Yes, the location is great. Yes, it's a historical building... BUT... And this is a MAJOR "but"... It once upon a time was "gas lit" but now they're using butagaz stuff, depending on who's staying there and how much they... More
