We were fortunate enough to have the owner of our vacation rental recommend McMunn's to us on our first day in Ballybunion. We ended up eating there every evening during our stay in County Kerry. The food was marvelous and the service was even better. We do suggest that you make reservations as the restaurant can be quite crowded during... More

This was an amazing surprise...what a gem! We stayed only one night, but wish we had booked more. The food in the pub was amazing (steak perfectly chosen and cooked, salads to die for, salmon cooked perfectly). Music every night was a perfect Irish welcome. The service was friendly and helpful. And the view---absolutely priceless. The pub looks over the... More

I was lucky enough to have been recommended McMunn's as a must visit on my last trip to Ireland. Wow was he right! I would use this venue to complain if there was something to complain about. My stay there was absolutely perfect. Nice rooms, comfortable pillows, very clean with quaint Irish charm. If the rooms are nice, the food... More

Last year my caddy at the Ballybunion golf course recommended McMunn’s to me, saying it was the nicest restaurant in town and served up some of the best food. I’m really glad he did, because I fell in love with the place. It holds a certain Irish charm that’s simply hard to find anymore, even in Ireland. This year, I... More

Beautiful little resturant, pub and hotel located right at the Ballybunion castle. Rooms are small and tired but clean. Staff is verry attentive and friendly. Resturant is 5 star. Views of the sunset (when the cloud cover cooperates) is spectacular. Have a camera! The pub is small and intimate and the traditional Irish entertainment is excellent. Golfer hang out for... More

I've been a repeat customer of McMunn's for several years, both as a guest of the boutique hotel as well as the superb restaurant. It is in the perfect location - middle of town, across from the beach & seaweed baths, and right down the road from the golf course. The cozy accomodations are the perfect place to sleep off... More

When you travel to Ireland, enjoy the people, the ever present sea, the world class golf, and of course McMunn's of Ballybunion. A place to stay, eat, drink at the pub, and enjoy the hospitality of the Irish. A very classy place. More

McMunn'sis a cozy, extremely comfortable pub and small inn with a pretty seaside view, very considerate and friendly management, and absolutely fabulous food. McMunn's also made our golf arrangements at the Ballybunion Golf Club, and everything was perfect. The day we played, the weather looked very threatening, and Una and Greg (the managers) loaned us their personal golf umbrellas and... More
