This is a beautiful spot; a luxury hotel - but with a relaxed feel. I've stayed in a few other Irish castle hotels, but this is my favourite - just the right mix of luxury, nice staff, people tromping around in riding gear and wellies (I don't ride), grand castle decoration - not stuffy, but special. The Afternoon Tea is... More

This was the third stop (2 nights) in a ten day trip. Our room was very large for three and the bath included a shower stall. Dinner at the golf club was very good and the gardens next to it were lovely and well kept. I don't golf but the course looked so inviting and so many people were using... More

Myself and my partner spent last one night recently at Dromoland Castle. The evening was cold and we couldn't turn on our radiator. The maintenance man arrived removed the cover from the rad and turned it on. Later I wanted to turn it down and I had to lift a heavy cover off rad to do so - not what... More

My spouse wanted to stay in a castle hotel in Ireland and we chose this one. It was a very unique experience staying in such a historic property. There is plenty to do, including golf and fly fishing, although we did not take advantage of these. I would comment that the room was somewhat dated and the beds were 'double'... More

I'm a huge researcher of reviews when I travel places, so I hope this helps someone else. Dromoland was one of the highlights of our trip, from the time we arrived until the time we arrived we were treated excellently. We stayed here two nights in a standard double room, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms are huge!... More

Sitting on hundreds of acres of forest, streams, lakes this incredible castle dates back hundreds of years in age. Positioned close to scores of attractions, this 5 star estate is the best lodging experience we have every had! Furnished in grand style, we had all the modern hotel features. We were delighted to be treated in our suite with chocolates... More

We stayed 1 night at Dromoland Castle in April so it was a flying visit,we would have loved to have stayed longer! Our room was one of the state rooms which was luxuriously furnished to a very high standard. The canapes we had before our trip out in the evening were delicious and we particularly liked the oyster shots! The breakfast was very... Stayed at Dromoland as last day of 8 day Ireland vacation. Grounds and facilities were beautiful. I am not sure how much was paid since it was part of tour but could not have been a tremendous amount since tour was 8 days including airfare, car rental, 3 nights at other nice hotels and 4 nights b&b. Room was well... More

tonight I am staying at Dromoland, and have to say I am extremely disappointed. The furnishing and fitting in the room are in no way 5 star standard and it is well and truly in need of a refurbishment, and even some basic maintenance would help - the bathroom tiles as just cheap ceramics, and have numerous cracks and chips....
