I have been going to Red Deer Lodge with friends off and on for 8 years now. The cabins are comfortable and well equipped. I primarily go there to do some fishing and there is very good access to fishing grounds of many types. With a bit of effort and a hike, there is an excellent mountain lake stocked with... More

This was our second time staying at Red Deer Cabins, and will not be our last! We got an early start this spring, and stayed in a fantastic cabin, before Red Deer was even open for the season! Sandra is a wonderful host, super friendly and very hospitable. The location is beautiful by the lake, and very peaceful. My boyfriend... More

It was great to see you again. You two are so easy to have here, and were not afraid of the fact that there is no running water early in the year. Hope to see you soon again. Thanks for the great photos. PS, maybe you can talk someone we know into posting that fab night sky shot... More

We stayed in a lovely cabin this past summer. The campground was clean, the water clean and gorgeous, and the owner, Sharon, is the most gracious of hosts. She is so accommodating, and pleasant :) My 2 youngest children loved the sandy beach, and the clean, shallow water, and I loved that I could easily watch them from the beach.... More

It's great to see teens get off the screens and back into the real world. Sometimes the simplest things, like a natural environment, give them so much to do.! I'll watch for your booking request, have a great winter. More

The cabins were booked, no problem - took the tent and found the peace and quiet and privacy and beautiful scenery that you should expect from a campground - instead of being packed in like sardines enduring those who are hell-bent on bringing the city with them. Each campsite was prettier than the next, it was hard to choose. Amenities... More

We went up on the long weekend the family loved the camp site, the beach is a short walk from the site and is a beautiful sandy beach. The falls are gorgous and the trails around are a great way to spend an afternoon exploring. The fishing is great. The kids never compained once about being bored. Sandra was a... More

Amazing sunsets, proximity to Algonquin, and off the main highway make Red Deer the perfect spot for someone who wants to take in all the park has to offer but also wants a quiet place to come to at the end of a hike to relax, take in a spectacular sunset and end the day in a real log cabin.... We have been vacationing at Red Deer Lodge and Campground for about 12 years now and we just love it. We have stayed at the campground in a tent and we have also stayed in the cabins. Either way, the experience was always great. Sandra is a wonderful hostess, so pleasant and welcoming, and she is very respectful of her... More

Missed you this past summer! I'll never forget the first time you landed here, on that holiday weekend so long ago. The memory file for your family has a lot of pictures in my mind, and stories too. I hope you are going to be able to come my way in 2012. More

We travelled for our first time to see Algonqin Park 2 years ago and stayed, by chance at red Deer Lodge and Campground in one of their 4 cabins. The cabins are fairly rustic, exceptionally clean and fully supplied. We had with us two teenage boys, who love it there. We checked out other accommodations and found this to be... More

We stayed in a simple but fantastic one room log cabin after stumbling across the website by accident. Red Deer is set off a very quiet back road, right on the Madawaska river. Perfect for a rural retreat away from the commercial world, listening to the squirrels and the chipmunks on the roof of the cabin every morning. The cabin... More
