We spent two days in B&B Melizio and only regret we didn't stay longer. The rooms were lovely and the garden so pleasant. we felt very welcome, and Maurizio was extremely helpful, giving tips as to where we should go and lending out maps. Breakfast was unbelievable!!! The best food we had in Italy. Who knew eggs could taste so... More

We stayed for a week-end last year and had a wonderful time with our two kids. The house is well located, near a stream which gives a very relaxing sound to ears tired from the city ! The rooms are very nicely decorated and warm, making you feel right at home. This feeling is even greater after meeting your hosts:... More

Everything was wonderful. Maurizio received us with great warm and was very helpful. Gave us tips to visit beautiful Lake Orta and the surroundings (he speaks english very well). The room was beautiful and we had a huge bathroom, as no one else was in B&B, it was like an apartment to us. It was very quiet. The breakfast was... More

We could not wish for anything better. Initially booked just one night, but stayed two. Mela and Maurizio are fantastic hosts and made every effort for us to feel at home. The rooms are separate from their living quarters and all have private bathroom (ours was outside of our room). Everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing, apart from usuals... More

B&B Melizio is absolutely brilliant. We spent a relaxing four days in this delightfully converted mill in an amazing location. Maurizio and Mela were the most accommodating and friendly hosts, they provided a beautiful, calm and relaxing place, wonderful recommendations of local sights and the most amazing breakfasts possible - the homemade biscuits and tortes were heavenly and the local... B&B Melizio is a true find! If we had known this in advance, we definitely would've adjusted our plans to stay there longer. The hosts are absolutely lovely and made us feel so at home. It is at Melizio's that we had the best and most abundant breakfast ever, including home-made Tiramisu, along with a friendly chat with the hosts,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
an old mill in stone dating back to 1850, carefully restructured with respect for its original architecture and surrounded with thick woods in a very charming and natural atmosphere: this is the house where Mela and Maurizio will welcome you and make you spend your holidays in absolute relaxation. The outskirts offer uncontaminated natural spots with wild flora and fauna: roe deer, wild boars, foxes, badgers and birds of prey are some of the inhabitants you can run into. Several domestic animals live in the house, actually they're the true owners, even if they are not allowed to enter in the guest rooms. The house can accomodate your animals too (provided that they are friendly), by previous agreement in order to arrange their lodging. Breakfast is served in the dining-room and consists of a great choice of home-made and tipical regional products. Nearby there are various opportunities to amuse yourself: you can walk along ancient paths through the woods, spend your time on the shores of the "Lago d'Orta" (San Maurizio d'opaglio offers the most beautiful and peaceful beaches on the lake); you can go out for a cycle ride along panoramic roads far from heavy traffic, or visit the tourist resorts of "Lago Maggiore", "Valsesia" (the place preferred by people who love rafting), "Macugnaga" (a jewel in "Val d'Ossola") and the national park of"Valgrande" (the largest wild area in Europe); and then you can make excursions in the world of arts and crafts (woodwork) and of enology and gastronomy (production of cheese and salami, rice and wine of the novaresi hills). The guests have at their disposal double rooms (t's possible to add two more beds in each one) with private bathroom, spacious rooms to read and converse and, by previous agreement, washing machine, kitchen, iron, little bed and high chair for children. English and French spoken. ... more   less
