We went to the Cow Bay Hotel three nights on our holiday and found the food and service just fantastic. We could not have been happier with the fantstic food and the welcoming service of all the staff. it is a typical aussie pub, with freindly locals and dogs in the bar. When there was a delay with a meal... More

Stayed nearby and was warned that the Cow Bay Hotel was "a bit rough". Found it was quite the opposite. Sure, some "rough around the edges" locals, but that just indicated it was a true Aussie country pub. Food was very cheap and good quality. We went there 2 nights in preference to the motel restaurant. Second night was pizza... More

After the Daintree River ferry crossing the road winds through thick rainforests and the first commercial centre you arrive at is Cow Bay. Cow Bay is one of the oldest established centres of commerce in the Daintree, yet it still only boasts the hotel/motel and airstrip for... More

We had a hard time picking a place to stay in the Cape Trib area as we needed 2 rooms & it seemed like there were the budget "backpacker" , the yoga retreats or the very expensive resorts. Our party was 2 adults (mid 50s) & our daughter & her boyfriend (mid 20s). The rooms are small & plain but... More

Thank you for your kind words and lovely review of your stay at the Cow Bay Hotel. Since we have come back to run the hotel/motel in November 2008 we have been getting a huge positive feed back on what a beautiful hotel we have here and how friendly the staff and locals are and what great food we serve!!... We live in Cairns and where do you go for Holidays when where you live is the perfect Holiday Destination. We decided to take the children (4 & 9) up to see the Daintree and Cape Tribulation as they had not been over the Daintree as yet. Upon arriving at our booked destination (I wont give the name as I... More

Never before have I been to such a disgusting, 2nd rate establishment in my life. If it isn't the lack of service or downright small minded mentality of the bar staff that will disgust you it will most definately be the way the locals are encouraged to behave. Whilst on honeymoon, my husband and I were witness to a mother... More

It certainly is not like this now and we are the original owners and builders of this beautiful Oasis in the Rainforest the "Cow Bay Hotel" and we came back in November 2008 and have... More
