I don’t even know where to begin in reviewing our stay at the “Temple House.” My friend and I spent 10 days traveling through parts of Ireland and our stay here was the highlight of our trip! One enters the estate by driving down a long driveway that takes you through a green pasture filled with hundreds of grazing sheep... More

Just returned home from a week-long trip to Ireland, with the last 2 nights spent at Temple House - what a treat! A glorious house in a spectacular setting, brim-full of history and tales from Ireland and far beyond. For such an old and large house, it is extremely comfortable and warm, with the best bed and shower that we... More

One of my favourite places ever to stay, every time I go back it feels like going home, and as soon as I leave I'm trying to think of a good reason to get back there soon! Roderick and Helena are warm and generous hosts, the food is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and every one of them has such... More

My husband and spent a few nights at Temple House late last summer and had a wonderful time. Roderick Perceval is a great host/ owner who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable etc. We also enjoyed the meals in the dining room which were very well prepared. The Manor House grounds are beautiful with thousands... More

One of our favorite places to stay in Ireland. We have been back 3 times. It is definitely a destination in itself. Roderick is a wonderful host. They often have wonderful special events. I would love to return for one. We have been there as a couple, with family, and again with friends. All were exceptional stays.

Just once in your life, you must visit Temple House. You cannot call it a hotel and you cannot call it a bed and breakfast. It is something totally different than anything you will ever experience. The mansion itself takes you back many centuries and the house itself is a great exploration site, especially after Roderick tells his ghost stories... More

We stayed at the Temple House for 2 nights in mid September and it was one of the highlights of our two week visit to Ireland. While we have stayed in many beautiful old "houses", none have made us feel that we had stepped back in time like Temple House. The history is amazing and wandering through the house and... More

We only stayed one quick night at Temple House and it was definitely too short. We were welcomed late in the evening with a nice seat by the fire in the sitting room, and even though we weren't able to make it to dinner, the chef provided us with some delicious pastries and fudge! It was great being joined by... More

We highly recommend Temple House for a unique, indulgent experience. The Percevals are warm, gracious hosts, and together with Guillaume (the French chef), they provide a delightful respite from the rigors of an extended journey. We enjoyed their Grandparents' "half-acre room," with Grandfather's attached sleeping room (he snored), and a luxurious en suite bathroom. After drinks in the Drawing Room,... More
