I stayed in this Travelodge whilst visiting Sunderland for business. I don't generally stay in Travelodge hotels due to the usual average standard of the rooms but I have to say this hotel was surprisingly decent! The room was clean, the bed was big and the TV had freeview. Unfortunately my room was positioned against the main road so I... More

The name on the door is- Sunderland Central Travelodge. Do not confuse this with Travelodge- Sunderland West. Booked a few weeks ago- got a really good price for a three night stay- checked in Friday- checked out Monday morning. Prices vary- book well ahead- probably the best price. The room- standard Travelodge- couch, (converting to a single bed) small TV,... More

I stopped here just for the 1 night, as I was seeing my family. First time I have been to this hotel. I met Richard at the reception who then checked me in. I must say what a wonderful guy he is, he could please me in every way. I then went to the room, room was spacious and clean,... More

I work away a lot and to be fair I usually stay at a different branded hotel as advertised by Lenny Henry. The standard of this travelodge is dire. My Lenny Henry analogy is relevant as I accept this standard as value for money and always consistently clean and comfortable. Using this as the scale I would give SR13PT travelodge... More

On arrival the receptionist was dithering with the PC and struggled to add a pre ordered breakfast. The room was of poor quality. The toilet/shower room was in need of maintenance with mastic & grout missing from the shower cubicle, no toilet brush & about 1/2 doz sheets of toilet paper. The room was dated with bed linen showing holes.... More

I had a one night stay in the Travelodge, I found the room comfortable with clean sheets and towels, and with constant hot water. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff on arrival, and given directions to my room. The room was pre heated, much appreciated on a very cold evening. The location is good, about a 10... More

My husband and i where staying in sunderland to attend a friends birthday party, however having a young family at home we made sure that we returned to our room early as although we were having a night out a good night sleep was also important. At approximately 5am we were woken by knocking on the door. When we opened... More
