I found the location to be a bit disappointing, I expected, it to be more remote, not 300m from the main road. I felt that the overall experience was too commercialized. We stayed here during our christmas holidays. It was simply perfect. Make sure you have good thermal underwear ( ours was pure Merino wool) and we were comfortable at all times. Really enjoyed a night at the Kirkenes snowhotel. The staff were lovely and friendly, and we had a delicious meal of reindeer sausages and local salmon before worming our way into polar sleeping bags. Talk about snug! This hotel is really worth a visit but would HATE to actually stay here. A visit entry is 100k or about $20US but it's certainly worth a look. There's no way i'd sleep here though, needless to say - its freezing in there. More
