The manager and staff were welcoming and the food good. We loved the area, the layout of the camp and the bird life. The tents were comfortable but the adjoining bathroom could have been better. A highlight of the whole trip was rafting down the Jia Borelli which was enjoyable even without the chance to spot a rare bird.

This place had a really good feel about it. It is set alongside a very quiet lane and next to open countryside full of birds. The manager welcomed us on arrival and it was immediately apparent he took pride in his Camp. The tents were clean and spacious, bedlinen changed daily, and the bathroom satisfactory. The staff were friendly and... More

We stayed in here for 2 nights and it was an overwhelming experience. The people are really warm especially the manager Jeeb Das is a very informative guy. Things to Do: >> Dont miss the nature trial early in the morning to the forest. You are sure to spot many birds..and the its a lovely experience. >> The Rafting there... More

Having just returned from a three night stay at the Eco Camp Nameri, I read some of the coments with astonishment and ask what standards are these campers accustomed to as I do not recognise their enthusiasm for this camp at all. I was sold the attributes of this Camp as a Luxury Tented Accommodation and assumed it would be... More

With 'eco', 'green' and other adage being dished out in such abundance these days, we were skeptical to begin with when someone suggested we stopover at Nameri Eco Camp on our way to Ziro. We were also worried that being inside a national park, the tariff would be sky high, but we were in for a pleasant surprise when we... More

I read about how great Nameri Eco Camp was in Lonely Planet and was looking forward to a quiet and pleasant stay. Unfortunately, my experience was much different. The management at the Eco Camp was indifferent at best and the atmosphere was not peaceful. It was difficult to find any staff to learn how to go to the Nameri Park,... More

Close to the banks of the Jai Bhoreli River is the Eco Camp at Nameri, one of the most organic wildlife camps this travel writer has been to. Set amidst virgin forest, this is where you can hear the lullaby of birdsong and the morning alarm of the hog deer. The camp has cottages, but the real fun is in... More

The only good place to stay when you're at Nameri. Wooded or tented acco for you nestled in the village just across the Bhorelli river this is a nice place to stay in. Location: Nestled in the village and right next to the Forest Office. This can't get better. It is only a five minute walk from the river bed.... More

Eco Camp is a well known place famous with birders. Located near Nameri National park, its an amazing little place with cottages and tented accommodation. A dormitory is also there and the restaurant serves delicious food. They can arrange birding treks inside the park and rafting on the Jia Bhoreli river. Both these activities are very rewarding for birdwatching with species... More
