Never having been to the Abrantes area we thought we'd try Solar de Alvega as the web site looked so interesting. After the friendly reception we were taken on a tour of the Manor House which was full of impressinve antiques and artifacts. Our family of 5 was treated like royalty at this stunning manor house in the Portuguese countryside! The beautiful restoration of the house makes it comfortable by modern day standards, yet the integrity of the 17th century isn't compromised.
