Quaint cottage, lovely sitting round coal fire, perfect tea/ coffee facilities (not cheap sachets nor longlife 'plastic' milk). One of comfiest beds ever. Lovely garden and patio area- was great waking to sound of birds! Breakfast was all local produce- perfect! The freshly baked bread... More

Just returned from Rose Cottage after a two night break. The place is beautiful, our room was far more than the usual Bed and Breakfast accomodation we are used to with a lovely lounge as well as ensuite bedroom which was spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served in your room at a table set in your own private lounge. The breakfast... More

We are experienced B&B ers, having stayed in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales at places from budget and posh hotels to tiny cottages, and Rose Cottage ranks one of the best. We just stayed there for two nights and found it excellent in every way. Our "room" was two rooms with a separate bedroom and lounge/ dining room where breakfast... More

What a spot! A delightful cottage over 400 years old. Great hospitality from the hosts and your own front door. The open fire adds to the cosyness of a very sumptuous environment that possesses all the needs within what is a "Heritage" building. We will be back.....

We have just returned from a short visit to, what has to be, one of the best places we have ever stayed at. Everything about Rose Cottage was first class, the property was very well appointed and of the highest standard. We loved having our own sitting room, beats squatting on the bed to watch TV!! Breakfast was very good... More
