We opted to stay in the cheaper bamboo beach huts at the back of the complex. Although these were very clean and spacious with good bathrooms and mosquito nets, security was an issue. It would have been very easy for someone to smash the doors in or climb through a window. We therefore didn't feel able to leave any valuables...

Neptune Point has simply something for everyone; it has space, lots of space and arguably in the best position of any resort in Goa. Surrounded on three sides by the sea, you can’t be anywhere out of earshot of the waves. Strictly, I suppose it is in Columb, but the headland overlooks Palolem and Patnam beach in the south. The huts are scattered around the headland, they are basic but the location makes up for it. A torch is a must and you need to be aware that the furthest hut from reception can be a fair walk!Generally this is a quite spot but once a week there is an open air disc with very loud music playing, but there is a sound curfew in Goa and at 10.30 the noise , sorry the music stops, the disc then become a ‘silent noise’ event where the party-goers are issued with headphones and the party goes on. There may be noise from the party-goers going home but this is not every night and the Np nuts are all located away from the party area. The weekly cinema is also very popular and shows all the latest releases, there is a charge of about 100 rupees, but does give you a chance of doing something different. The Massage centre is very good, run by Raja and his family team they specialize in practically every type of massage, particulate useful if you have been to one of the daily (up to 4 sessions per day in high season) yoga classes. The yoga ‘hall’ is situated on the top of the bluff, the location is simply amazing.I haven’t been to the restaurant, I’m sure it will be of the highest standard –let me know! Suraj will even arrange a pick-up from the airport / station and runs a taxi service as well, so he really does have all the bases covered, including laundry, can you believe.
