We rented a group site. It was smaller than we expected but it was ok since we only had about 15 people and the site is meant for 40. There are no flush toilets or sinks! No showers either! Other than the amenities, the campground was nice. It was a very grassy area with a lot of trees. If you... More

We stayed at this campground with a group of friends. We loved the location and the views and how close it is to Sand Dollar Beach. This is a great site for camping with the family or a group of friends. The bathrooms were kept very clean and were in working order the entire length of our stay. The camp... More

We just stayed six days at this wonderful campground. I have all good things to say about the great, clean bathrooms and the beautiful surroundings. The bathrooms appeared to be very new . The campground was groomed to perfection and the privacy and quiet of the area was terrific. Our hosts spent a good deal of time checking on campers... More

8-27-2010 - We went camping at a spot called Plasket Campground along the California coast above Gorda and have been going for over 30 years every Laborday weekend, (campground is in a meadow & use to be so green & beautiful) while hubby & his brother's deer hunted every year. We would go down to Sand Dollar Beach & play... More

We stayed at Plaskett Creek for two nights. The first night the bathrooms were closed due to low water levels. Evidently this is an ongoing issue at the campground as the porta potties had been in place since June (according to the maintenance log posted in the porta potty). Because of the water issue, there was no potable water in... More

The coast is beautiful and the campsite location is ideal. The beach across the street has easy access and is very beautiful.... BUT.... When we arrived, the camp host told us that the bathrooms were not working and that they should be up later in the day. I never saw anyone arrive to work on the bathrooms, but I did... More

Just returned from a Big Sur/central coast trip and camped 2 nights at Plaskett Creek Campground. The campground was very clean, great location to the beach (just across the street). Sometimes the road noise can get a little loud, but usually you don't notice it and it gets absorbed by the sound of the ocean. The inner loop spots are... More

This is a lovely campground, easy to find and the campsites seem good-sized. It's well-maintained and the caretaker was very helpful. I was a little disappointed to find no easy route to the ocean. Emmy Lou, my dog, and I had to cross Highway 1, then walk along the highway shoulder a ways to get to a parking lot (Em... More

Just wanted to let all campers know that the restrooms are working fine at Plaskett Creek and Water is good. The problem occurred last year due to the fires. Have fun and happy camping!

We spent two nights at Plaskett Creek Campground between Christmas and the New Year. It was warm and sunny, with the campground being three quarters full. It was green, lush, and quiet. This campground is right off Hwy. 1 that runs along the western edge of California with exquisite views of the Pacific Ocean. We were under large trees in... More
