OUr family of 5 stayed in a large 3 bed yurt - and it was great - a really fun experience. Even walking to the bathrooms in the cold rainy night, listening to the coyotes - by flashlight. Anyplace the hummingbirds hover as you sip organic tea, stirred with a wide noodle, to be compostable, while looking out at the... More

This was an amazing place to stay. Relaxing, invigorating, and serene. We stayed in the ocean-view yurt for two nights and were in heaven. The yurt was very clean, bed was comfy, and we were pleasantly surprised that the in-yurt sink had hot water readily available. The lodge has a wonderful bar overlooking the ocean which is where we ate... More

Treebones landscape was amazing. Deep into Big Sur, Treebones offers adventurous travelers the opportunity to stay in a very nice resort with the feel of rustic camping. We staying in a double sized yurt for two nights on the banks of the Pacific. Although there are no showers/toilet in the rooms, we were not discouraged. A short walk to the... More

We stayed 2 nights in campsite 4. It was pretty easy to find(if you get to Gorda you've gone to far). The campsite is primatve, place for your small to medium tent, garbage can and a wooden cabinet to place a stove ,ice chest, ect. The view is anything but basic! It is a million dollar view of the pacific ocean. The only problem... More

This was a wonderful place to stay in Big Sur. A comparative bargain at around $200 a night. I stayed in the human nest the first night and an ocean-view yurt the second night. Both were great. The staff members were very nice and accommodating, and the restaurant and sushi bar were really good. Some of the food came from... More

We had so much fun and plan to return as soon as we can...The yurts are great! The view is amazing. The pool is refreshing! Not a better place to stay...We were in one of the closest yurts to the office/restaurant - the one with the ping-pong table inside. HUGE! It was windy that night and kind of loud in... More

Had a fantastic stay here. The Yurts are a great experience and one of the comfiest beds we've stayed in. Breakfast was self served but was great each morning (& now prompted the wife to go find a waffle machine herself). Also the Sushi Bar was great to sit in and watch the sunset. I hadn't had eaten much Sushi... More

After reading the glowing reviews here, we had high expectations. When you call yourself a resort and charge premium prices, you do raise expectations. The yurts are spacious circular tents which are nicely furnished. There is a sink in the room but no bath. Toilets and showers are located in the central pavilion and it is a long cold walk... More

Everyone's said it, but Treebone's Resort is a magical place. Camping, but not roughing it. It's a great place that is a happy medium when your family is split on just how close to nature each person wants to be. The Yurts are awesome. You can hear the waves, smell the pine and even if it's rainy and cold outside... More

Treebones strikes the perfect balance of allowing you to really immerse yourself in the Big Sur landscape while providing the comforts of civilization that allow you to enjoy it all in a sustainable way. I'm not a huge outdoor guy, but I do love to commune with nature. The hot tub, delicious food, hot showers, and friendly staff all allowed... More
