Location is terrible, look's like a hostel from the 1980's from outside. Carpets filthy, room small and very very dated, bathroom was a disgrace! Mysterious brown/yellow stains on bedsheets, after travelling all day we was forced to sleep on the sofa bed until we finally travelled 50 miles back home!! A absolute disgrace!!!!!

Can't comment on the Travelodge as we didnt stay there but we did stop off to eat at the adjacent Little Chef restaurant. I used to be a fan of Litle Chef but it did seem to have lost its way with poor food and under-trained staff for a while. Of late thought they seem to have addressed these issues... More

The room was larger than I had expected, there was a settee in the roon but it was dirty and ripped. The bedding was white and clean but the bed itself was really uncomfortable and you couldn't help but roll into the middle. The room was freezing cold all night despite the heating being turned up full. The bathroom was... More

stayed for one night (luckily). On arrival was greeted in a friendly enough fashion and allocated our room on the first floor. The room was grubby to say the least with marks all over the walls. The bathroom was ok and functional but it was as if a blind man had gone nuts in there with a silicone gun it was... More

Another poor effort from Travelodge.Dark, dirty and badly in need of total destruction. Our room was dirty on arrival and was never cleaned in three days. The "cleaners" change towels and stock up tea, coffee and toilet roll and thats it.Windows were so filthy that a previous guest had written f*** off in the grime! Bathroom had limescale on sink, rusty shower rail and... More

The rooms - well, they're all the same, aren't they? Every one I have stayed in has that jaded feeling with customary sticky carpet with the world's longest sofa bed under the window. ***The Good*** It cost me £30. The bed was clean, and I slept like the proverbial log Ample parking There's a Little Chef about twenty paces from... More

I own a four star guest house myself so this is very basic by comparison but it was very cheap so I was not expecting luxury. It was clean and tidy but need a bit of modernisation. The room was spacious and quiet and at only £32 for 2 people for a weekend night what more could you want. I... More
