Just back from our annual 4 day golf trip to Stoke by Nayland, staying in the lodges. We were 14 guys from Surrey and booked a 6 berth and 8 berth lodge. The lodges were fantastic for us, very well equipped and the large communal space allowed us to congregate in the evenings as a group. Standard of furnishings and... More

We stayed in two of the lodges for my nephew's 21st birthday. The lodges are beautifully furnished. One of the best features was the availability of someone to drive us back and forth between the lodge and the hotel! Would definitely return.

We stayed in the Scarlet lodge. Sleeps 4 - 6 people 2 bedrooms 1 en suite and a sofa bed in the living room. It was a real luxury retreat and would recommend for anyone looking to get away for a few days. We were visiting family in Colchester so the Lodge was only 30mins away. The setting is amazing... With three bedrooms and three bathrooms the Russet and Bramley lodges gave six adults and one baby plenty of space to socialise in and privacy when we wanted it. The accommodation is truly superb, fitted out to an extremely high standard and careful thought given to providing all the comfort factors needed for a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed catering for... Went on a weekend with another 9 ladies and had a blast. We also hired out Scarlet Pimpernel as it was the largest. We arrived and were blown away by the size of the lodges and the finish everywhere...superb. Plenty of bathrooms (however, next time we go we are bringing more toilet roll as we ran out!) and beautiful views... More

I booked the largest lodge, Scarlet Pimpernel, to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday with the whole family. ie Our two daughters, son-in-laws, three grand-children under 8 and ourselves. The accommodation was ideal as each part of the lodge was completely self-contained with its own front door but linked access via a covered staircase. We arrived on 8th March 2013 ,a... More

5 of us stayed here for two nights during the snowfall of January 2013; 2 adults, 2 children & 1 senior. Our welcome was excellent with the lodge porter driving us to our lodge, showing us around and explaining all of the 'modcons' (dishwasher, ipod, blu-ray etc.) These are energy efficient lodges with underfloor heating & thermostats for each room.... We had a family celebration and we all managed to stay in one of the beautiful country lodges. The actual lodge was fabulous and well beyond our expectations. With fantastic views and gorgeously comfortable accommodation our weekend was brilliant. We also had a meal (x13) at the hotel which was superb. With great, efficient and extremely friendly service, it truly... More

Top notch lodges in stunning peaceful surroundings. The open plan lounge and kitchen area are enhanced by the floor to ceiling picture windows which overlooked the golf course although we are not golfers.
