Nice setting, lovely warm pool, fairly basic rooms but comfortable enough; rather strange small "saloon" doors to the bathroom. Toilet blocked up overnight (perhaps the previous residents didn't know that this happens when you try to flush toilet-paper down the loo, instead of putting it in the bin provided...?!) Avoided the buffet dinner as we'd read posts here about food... More

Outside the city of Palenque, modern – colorful & clean rooms, (very) large bed, AC, LCD TV, free Wi-Fi, massage facilities, 2 swimming pools, beautiful surrounding garden – very well maintained. Many tourist groups, families with children, live music until 22.00. The room walls provide VERY LOW noise insulation, anyway the outside noise level comes down after 22.30 when they... More

My husband and I stayed at the Mision Palenque for 2 nights beginning November 21, 2011. We were part of a tour group and had travelled a fair distance to get to Palenque the first day. We didn't arrive until it was dark about 700pm. As we were driving through this tiny village, I was a bit worried about the... More

My husband and I had stayed at a Mision hotel in another part of Mexico so we knew what to expect, and this place neither surprised nor disappointed. The hotel is set way off the road along a lush drive, giving it a private feel. The front desk service was a little hit or miss but the bellboy was very... More

This is a nice place, contemporary in style but ambient because of its location away from everything. The pool was nice, the spa interesting, the jungle feel was great, and the price decent. The staff booked a great trip in the jungle for me and were helpful at the front desk but had an attitude at the restaurant. The hotel... More

From the outside this hotel looks nice. Inside the rooms are not so nice. First off the hotel needs an upgrade as it was built over 35 years ago and is falling apart. My room Had blood on the sheets and the shower are needed to be retiled and painted as it was not clean. I don't recommend this hotel... More

Came back after 3 years and the place still is the same. The hotel is nicely situated not too far away from the Zocalo and it is surrounded by beautiful lush gardens. I think the 5 stars that they have are highly exagerated though.- the room interior is more like a european 2 or 3 star standard, but that’s OK.... More

Very nice hotel with beautiful grounds and gardens, still within comfortable walking distance to the Zocalo or within just two minute taxi ride. Tour groups often enjoy the buffet for breakfast and dinner, which was pretty decent actually considering how many groups and therefore people were there. The rooms are nice and big, offer free Wifi, cable tv, a/c and... More

Well, we stayed at this hotel as part of our tour throughout the Yucatan peninsula and from the outside everything looks fine. The pool, the entrance, the park around the hotel all transmit the 5 stars that the hotel advertises itself with. As soon as you enter the rooms, the picture changes. The style reminds of a hotel, all rooms... More

Definiately too expensive for its value. It is an old and crap hotel with unprofessional service. There are far better choices close to archeologic site.
