As the title suggests this is a lovely place to stay with a nice pool and good facilities, if in need of a little care and repair. The cabanas are OK value if you are with 2 or more and camping is fairly cheap. It is a fairly open site and so is much less humid than Ed's Cabanas or... More

I camped here over Easter. It was busy with Mexican families and a few travellers. Good location close to the bottom entrance of the ruins. Food is good, great pool on the edge of the jungle. Showers ok, but could do with more frequent cleaning. Lot of howler monkeys close by :-)

After seeing the prices for the cabañas we decided to stay at another place with more reasonable fares. But for some reason we decided to come back to have dinner at the restaurant, which was very bad and expensive. You have to give your order at the kitchen, then go get your plate when it's ready - there was one... More

I spent a week here sleeping in a hammock within a Palapa (grass hut with no walls ), and it was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. It costs about 30 pesos/night for the palapa. You can rent hammocks, but it's best to go into town (Palenque) and buy your own from one of the hammock makers.... More

Our group was staying in cabanas behind the swimming pool. Bathroom was clean and spacy, hot water all the time, rooms were decent, but with pretty bad lighting. Better have your mosquito-net with you, the roof and windows do not look exactly 'insectproof'. Cabana had a nice small terrace towards the swimming pool, with comfy chairs. The surroundings are very... More

Maya Bell is as close as you get to the ruins in terms of accom. It's inside the national park and about a 20-30 minute walk up the road to the main entrance. The restaurant is really good. wi-fi has its problems, not very fast and has to be restarted on a regular basis - but at least you have... More

Maya Bell is rustic place with both cabanas and camping facilities. The restaurant was good, but the staff were not very friendly. Pool looked better at night than during the day. Cabanas near the pool are extremely noisy from pool guests due to the paper thin walls. The Cabanas were rustic nice nothing fancy. Maya Bell is very close to... More

We have stayed here a few times. Always consistent, secure, and comfortable. We always stay in the cabana rooms, but the campground looks great. Pool is huge, great food, music at night, and always an interesting crowd. We ran into 4 bicyclists riding through the Yucatan, Chiapas, then to Central America. We had just come from a month trip driving... More

awful rooms, dirty, with cockroaches. the bathroom was almost destroyed, nothing was working properly. the pool was dirty and smelling although it was August and they were supposed to have it clean. staff was rude, arrogant, unwilling to help or give information, even though they knew english they were pretending they didn't. the food was terrible and we had to... We arrived at Palenque when it was dark and wanted to stay in the perimeter of the ruins to enjoy the wildflife. We read some bad stuff about El Panach, and decided to stay at Hostel Elementos Naturales. Once their a memeber of the staff informed us that they were closed beacause of some problems with the electricity and that... More
