Saw this hotel ranking No1 on trip advisor so thought we'd give it a go. Rang up on the day and was quoted a room. For an additional $20 we were offered an apartment. This room was huge and all like brand new. Very impressed with the level of appointments. They have thought of everything. Will definitely stay here again.... More

Our family (2 adults and 2 kids aged 3 and 6) enjoyed a 3 night stay at the East Hotel in Manuka, Canberra. The hotel is in a great location and is a short drive to all Canberra's main tourist attractions. The hotel is a short work, about 300 meters, to Maunka's shopping district which has some fantastic restaurants (our... More

Just returned from a two night stay at East and enjoyed every minute. Had a room on the 5th floor looking towards Manuka Oval and Parliament House in the distance. Although this was one of the smaller rooms, we had more than enough space. Strong Wi-Fi (free) in the room and secure parking ($10) under the hotel. Easy walk to... More

Just open for 9 months, well designed, nice spacious rooms. Quite a lot of road noise with the window open, but very quiet with it closed. Good king beds, firm but with pillow top. Adequate continental breakfasts, secure parking onsite for $10 per night. Staff cheerful & helpful. Would stay there again.

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending an Athletics Championship my daughter was part of. We found this hotel quite central to a lot of the sights....walking distance to Manuka Park for the footy and a short drive to the Parliament House & War Memorial. A little further to the AIS...so we hired a car. The... More

Visited for a weekend with young family. Arrived to a person complaining in reception about not getting desired room. I thought they were being a bit sensitive, until I got into first room to find that they had given us an east apartment not the luxe apartment that we were paying for. It was sorted quickly, but was unneeded hassle... More

We stayed here for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. Our apartment on the third floor was very spacious and well equipped - particularly the kitchen. The service is great - friendly and helpful and the food in the Ox restaurant is very good. The owners have put a lot of thought into this place.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at East Hotel whilst travelling with a large group of friends, most of whom had young children travelling with them, and we all agreed that East was one of the best hotels we had stayed in in Australia. As a new, independent hotel, East Hotel is living up to its... More

I stay in Canberra regularly and usually at the Realm. I am now a bit of a convert to this great little hotel. It has managed to actually be boutique and a grown up hotel with attentive staff which in my experience takes some doing. So to details checking in - was seamless on both occasions I stayed, second time... More
