Sooo, for those of you who don't know. Plantation hotel was shut-down and was sold and under new management. They did heaps of renos downstairs in the bar/bistro (which by the way has really cheap amazing meals all day). They reopened upstairs on Dec.1,2011 as a backpackers. It's a quiet place with news managers, really friendly and helpful. The TV room is confortable and the rooms are clean, the bathroom as well. It's not far to the shopping place and the hostel is cheap. If I can give you an advice, go there and meet the managers, it's nice.

On our way back from Sydney, my friends and I decided to make a stop and have a look around in Coffs. We had made arrangements that morning to stay at the Plantation. The price was ridiculously cheap. They mentioned they only like to have backpackers but reluctantly let us Aussies stay as long as we promised not to misbehave.... More

we stayed in the plantation hostel in coffs harbour for only 1 night as it was enough. We booked our trip with wanders travel in sydney. this was one of the hostels they are sending people to. we booked a double room which had an overflowing bin full of rubbish and the bed clothes were filthy the room its self... More
