Probably the worst place I’ve stayed. Not clean and very shabby. 3 stars according to the travel agent but can’t see why. On a busy road junction walkable to train station to get out as fast as possible. Lift smells as bad as the rooms so brace yourself.

Well lesson learned, always read the reviews first! It was too late for us, we had already booked. First of all the staff are lovely, no issues there, also no housekeeping but not really an issue as we were only there 2 nights. Bed was ok, comfortable enough & at least the linen was clean. The issue is the bathroom, it’s the most disgusting bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel, there is mould all through the grout, in every tile & on the floor in the shower. This has not been properly cleaned in months it is truly disgusting & was so bad I almost didn’t use it. The toilet has a seat that is way too small for it, just ridiculous. Vacuuming not great either & dusty. Lights that didn’t work & haven’t for a while by the look of it. Just gross. Please don’t do it to yourself, pay more elsewhere, we certainly will. Disgusting.

My adult son and I stayed her for 4 nights. We booked a non refundable room through a travel agency. Front desk service was good and helpful. We knew it was not a 5 star hotel so expectations were not that high, but we did at least expect the room to be clean. The room had a urine smell. It was not very clean. There was debris on the carpet, an ink pen on the bathroom floor, stains on the sheets. We were only given 2 bath towels and no hand towels, although when I asked for more, they were given to me. It was mostly quiet, but we had noise from the elevator that sounded like someone was moving furniture in the room above us. It did not keep us awake or wake us up. On our last night we had some noisy neighbors. Location is convenient for the light rail. It’s just a couple of blocks away. We walked to The Rocks our first night and it is close to 2 miles. We walked back as well, but we like to walk. But after we discovered how to use the light rail, we took it more often.just tap your credit card before getting on and tap again when you exit.

Great location, within walking distance of everything i needed. Directly opposite train station so very convenient. Room was tidy, bed was comfortable. A little bit of dust lying around but nothing to complain about. Good price parking. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Central Studio Hotel in Sydney was great! The staff were very nice and friendly, very accommodating and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. The room was space and the bed was comfortable, this was a one night stay but would love to return and stay there again. The cafe inside the hotel was awesome, they had food that was so delicious we could eat there again and again!!

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a room on the 10th floor. It was quiet and clean. The king bed was comfortable. My only suggestion would be to have 2 comfortable chairs (instead of only 1) and a small table so we could sit and enjoy our first coffee of the day. Parking was very convenient and reasonably priced considering it is Sydney. Close to the light rail stop and loads of good food spots.

It’s hard to believe the bad reviews this hotel has received. Yes it’s not five star but it’s everything that you need for a couple of night in Sydney where the normal nightly weekend rate is $400 +. I paid &162, The staff on reception were just lovely and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was spotless, the bed soo comfortable and the shower pressure perfect. There was some wear and tear on the carpet but that’s the only negative from us. We had a lovely experience and the central location was everything we needed.. Thanks for hosting us and we will return.

GOOD: Great Location near transport hub, supermarket, cafes, restaurants. Comfortable king bed (2 singles together) and clean bed linen. Spare pillows. Valuables safe Front Desk staff pleasant and helpful Good sized room. Good overhead lighting for reading in bed. Good heatpump/aircon BAD Bathroom wasn't cleaned well, previous occupants rubbish left under vanity. Shower walls/tile grout dirty, needing good scrub. Carpets really dusty around edges and behind doors. Desk and bedside table laminate missing, looking shabby. Room smelled strongly of cleaning product but basin hadn't been cleaned and was marked. NO DAILY SERVICING OF ROOM though clean towels, extra teabags etc available at reception.

This is, at best, a motel or hostel. They are trading off their location - there are plenty of better, similar priced places in the same street. Don’t book this unless you can get it at hostel rates and are looking for that. 1. There are no staff after 9pm and no indication of how you might contact them if needed. Not sure what someone would do if they lost their key, or their was an incident overnight? 2. It is not secure. The lifts do not require a pass and the front door, opposite a major train station is open until 9:30 pm. After that it requires a card, but a guest could easily be followed in. There are no door peep holes or security latches on the inside of room. A disaster waiting to happen id suggest. 3.No housekeeping at all. Not even bins emptied no matter how long you stay. 4. Rooms overlooking street are super noisy from the traffic. 5. There is definitely no pool ( on TripAdvisor it says there is) no was a coffee machine located in the lobby. 6. There is no food or drink available anywhere. 7. Not maintained or cleaned. The aircon filter was disgusting and moldy. Very unhealthy. As the above suggests this is a motel, not hotel, and a rather unsafe one at that.

I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews for the Central Studio, I stayed one night when I checked in the staff were really helpful and very polite, my room on the 9th floor was spotless with a huge bed crisp white sheets a lovely bathroom with toiletries. I had a huge tv mini fridge hairdryer, safe, tea and coffee making facilities. I like the whisper quiet air conditioner which I could control. Location is perfect for central station and chinatown/Paddys market. Next time I stay I will definitely bring my wife as she will love it
