I have stayed at so many Hyatt properties these days for business and private travel they sometimes blend in..This one is a stand out property as expected, post full refurb overall it's a good job..down side are someone never thought to 'seal' the marble tables in the rooms or restaurants and so they look knocked about already...and the light switches... We stayed here on our honeymoon, and the staff bent over backwards to make our experience special, celebratory and romantic, from the welcome champagne tea to the postcard-worthy view of the opera house from our room. The new refurbishment is so beautiful. Rooms looking on to the Opera House with wonderful glass balconies, and Japan style bathrooms. The bar was lovely to sit with a glass of wine and watch this beautiful city. Our romantic getaway was more than I could have anticipated.

It's a great location and the rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The service is what sets this hotel apart. The staff are quite simply superb. They bend over backwards to ensure your stay is perfect. They really are the benchmark against which all my future hotel stays will be compared. Magnificent.

Whilst we were only in for a relaxing 1 night stay, the experience was perfect. Room comfort was great, size adequate and overall couldn't fault. Service was impeccable and the view says it all. The only small negative is that it seems slightly overpriced in the marketplace even considering all of the above.
