In comparison to other accommodation in this area, the McLaren offers excellent value for money. Large rooms, friendly staff, realaxed atmosphere and close to the CBD. I have stayed in every motel/b&b in the North Sydney/ Milsons Point area, and for business I prefer to stay at the McLaren.

The McLaren Hotel is a tired and slightly dowdy hotel which has obviously seen better times. The rooms are what you might expect from a cheap B&B and it has no facilities at all. The breakfast supplied can only be described as poor and is charged as an extra. Overpriced and overrated.

I booked this based on the high, if not to say raving, reviews on this site. On this occasion, I have really been let down by TripAdvisor, as I believe this hotel to offer poor value for money. This hotel has great charm with a homely, welcome feel to it. Professional and polite service on check in and quality suites that are very affordable for Sydney. 5-10 minutes from North Sydney Station along Miller Street, this was very well situated for my business trip. We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights as part of our New Zealand and Australia holiday. The staff were great, couldnt do enough for us. Convenient for transport etc.A very enjoyable stay.
