Everything about The Medusa is lovely; the beautiful pink-ochre exterior of the mansion, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, especially Luke, the beautifully decorated rooms, and the sound of the water feature in the courtyard. Despite the smallness of our room, the bed was comfortable, the heating was perfect and the shower a good strength. The hotel is within... More

This was my third time staying at the Medusa and it's interiors/architecture are still as compelling as the first time I visited. Located in a particularly lovely area between Kings Cross and Taylor Sq, the hotel is an ideal base for exploring Sydney. It's a small hotel with a small staff, but they are incredibly helpful and friendly (without being... More

Everyone was so lovely and helpful at Medusa especially Luke. The rooms are fantastic, lots of space, big king sized bed, room to move around and a pick of comfy chairs to sit in. I filmed a short film here and had the room on the ground floor behind reception that opens out onto the courtyard which was nice to... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at the Medusa. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with a huge bed, lounger, arm chairs, table and chairs overlooking the courtyard, and a well stocked kitchenette. We're glad we splashed out on a grand room -- it was the perfect place to come back to and relax at the end... More

We visited Sydney after attending a wedding in Manly. We chose the Medusa for its proximity to cafes and restaurants and the price. It was the perfect location and we loved our room. We requested a bath and courtyard view, which happened for us. Luke at the front desk gave us great advice. Lovely place to base yourself in Sydney.

Loved the Medusa. Staff were incredibly helpful (even finding me non feather pillows!) but beware the standard rooms are TINY! No clothes drawers or cupboards and definitely not what you would want to hang out in. having said that if your there to go out and explore and only need a comfortable bed and clean room then it's perfect. Being... More

This is an outstanding hotel. This review is a little late. I stayed in July 2010. Take notice, if you are looking for a standard hotel experience, this is not it. The Medusa has character and plenty of it. If you have strong views on the LBGT lifestyle, this is not for you. First, the property itself. The Medusa is... More

This place is great - the rooms are modern and clean, the staff are friendly and the location is one of the best in Sydney. My gripe is that, at least in the rooms I have had, there is no place for storing clothes (if you're there for more than 2 days) and no power points. I was there for... More
