quiet hostel, excellent location. cleanliness of kitchen sometimes not great but good storage space for food in fridges. Air con in rooms is good but at times it is chilly!! saying that, you couldnt sleep without it. swimming pool small but very welcome due to the heat in this part of the world!!!
We loved the relaxed atmosphere in this YHA. It's architecture is perfectly designed for hot days. Can't control the aircondition in the rooms though and the kitchen was a little greasy...
I was looking for somewhere cheapish to stay whilst visiting the area.
The price of the majority of hotels in Alice Springs is fairly high and as I was on a trip to Ayers Rock which meant I was hardly going to be spending any of the time in the room anyway, I elected to stay at YHA even though...

I stayed here for 2 nights and overall it's a good place to stay. The kitchen is large, clean and well stocked; there is a large common area with TV; there's a nice outdoor area that shows movies on a big screen. The hostel is centrally located, close to downtown, so you can walk anywhere you need to go I...

We spent 3 nights at Alice Springs Pioneer YHA and at first it was awesome! Good location, spacious and clean facilities and generally friendly staff. Until there was a problem.
On our last night Amy, one of female receptionists, allocated us to a dorm bed that seemed to be empty but was in fact occupied. During the night we were...

Stayed here twice before and after an Uluru tour, like most of the rest of the hostel!
The private double was fine, nothing special but clean and a reaonable size. The pool was pleasant and we had it ourselves each time we used it. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seemed ok. The shower facilities were adequate but...

Pleased with how clean and tidy and organised everything was (not being a big fan of slumming it!). The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The pool is a bonus. We had a comfortable night and it was convenient for the town.
