We were greeted upon arrival by friendly staff and proceeded straight to our Superior room which was ready. It was located on the second floor facing the pool with a large balcony. The room was spacious and had a large bathroom. It was quiet, clean, the beds were very comfortable and the decor reflected the desert surroundings. The location was excellent... More

I really enjoyed my stay. My room was beautiful - furnished tastefully, bright, luxurious. Reception experience was great for me but my friend didn't fair so well. Her room wasn't ready and they kept her waiting for a number of hours! The Manager did apologise later which was good. The pool area is pleasant and the pool is sufficiently large... More

The hotel is great, good rooms with balconies etc. Although the staff were friendly and helpful I found them to be not that knowledgeable with regards to the hotel, maybe they are transient workers. We were told there were no rooms with a view of the rock, this was not the case as our room did. The reception staff sent... More

On arrival at1pm our room was not ready so we went to the pool. Service was poor, mediocre at best. Apart from the prime location, we would not stay there - the resort is tired and in need of a face lift.

I knew this hotel had undergone a big refurbishment programme recently so was looking forward to visiting again after what had been many years. The rooms are huge and I have to say absolutely stunning now with local art and beautiful decorative touches. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. Free wifi is available in the lobby but paid... More

The last time I visited Uluru I stayed at the Outback Pioneer Lodge in shared accommodation. This time I upgraded myself to Sails in The Desert. What I liked most about this move was having a large and comfortable room all to myself - with glimpses of Uluru from my balcony. But given that I spent very little time inside... More

We stayed at Sails in the nineties when it's eighties grey and salmon pink decor made it a struggle to accept its high end accommodation assertion, despite it being the top end of available options then. It's recent makeover has made a world of difference and we'd happily concur its at least a 4 star experience. Given the quantum leap up... More

Hotel is in a complex with other hotels. Short walk to resort centre with restaurants, cafes and shops. In middle of desert with no other towns or facilities nearby so once you are here it's just the trips to the Rock as main interest if you don't have own transport. Had a bit of trouble finding our room as we... More

Ten minutes ride from the airport. Looks good as it recently had a make over. Check in was fine. Had to leave our luggage locked away as we arrived at 7am. We were not warned about the flies!! They are everywhere and very annoying. Room looked good but on closer inspection not cleaned very well and toilet very dirty. Luggage... More
