We stayed at Dingo Moon Lodge for a few days in a double room. The hostel is very central, in a great location and kept clean. The owner is a fab guy who will go out of his way to help, as will all the other staff (even when my hair dryer tripped the electric twice, they helped to fix... More

I was not sure about the hostel because of the reviews on tripadvisor. Darwin was very busy and the Dingo Moon Lodge seems to be one of the best hostels but to consider that I guess Darwin's hostels are not very good. The Room was on the first floor. One enters the room from outdoors which I liked. The aircon... More

Stayed at this backpackers for 2 nights and although the staff were very helpful and organised this is an average backpackers for the price. Breakfast is included which includes cereal, toast, croissants and drinks which was very good and the rooms are clean. The room I stayed in was a 4 bed dorm and the bunk beds squeaked all night... We stayed for a few nights at double bed room, just at the beginning of our travel in North&West Australia. So maybe it was the change of climate and jet-lag, that we weren't very pleased with this hostel. The room was small, with ugly, broken furniture and dirty curtains. The window faced the common area outside, so we heard all... More

Brilliant hostel, on Mitchell street but at the top end 5 -10 minute walk to main to bars and restaurants so not too loud and very relaxed. Close to all attractions. Fairly secure the gate was locked at 8.30pm every night. Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Good free facilities - i.e. free breakfast, free laundry and swimming pool were... More

Central location in Mitchell Street, just a few minutes walk to the busy part but far enough away that the hostel was quiet in the evenings. The breakfast was amazing for a backpackers, cereals, toast, juice and there were even croissants and nutella! Staff were friendly and knowledgable about Darwin and helped book tours to Litchfield and Kakadu with the... More

Dingo Moon havent got much going for it. It's very dirty and the long time residents are the worst kind of backpackers - loud and drunken 18 year olds with no respect whatsoever for anyone. They throw around bag in boxes of wine in the pool, drop bottles and glasses of beer in it and splash everyone within 15 yards... More

I had a pleasant stay at the Dingo Moon. It was clean, safe, in a central location, and has all the amenities. The property is well-kept and the vibe is friendly. Free laundry is a plus. Kitchen is well-equipped. It's surprisingly quiet for being so close to Mitchell Street, but still social with a nice pool in back. There are... More

Dingo moon is a good clean backpackers, it offers breakfast and laundry included in the price. The price is slightly steep and paying in advanced of arrival doesn't always suit everyone but it was worth it as the hostel does fill up quickly. The staff were informative and friendly and were able to provide accurate information on the trips available... More

I so glad I checked in here. I stayed in Darwin for 2 weeks and had the opportunity to check out some other backpackers and I found this one to be safe (gates are locked at 8pm entry via coded gate) and clean. The free breakfast was great lots of choice with cereal, toast, tea/coffee/juice, pancakes, croissant, crumpets and fruit.... More
