Recently stayed at the Inchcolm for three nights with my three teenage children. We all loved the hotel, it is very clean with comfortable beds and is serviced every day. We booked the family package which includes continental breakfast and parking. This is great value for money. The people on reception are very helpful and even allowed the printing of... More

Dear Tracie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. It was certainly our pleasure to have you and your family stay. I see you certainly got to know the neighbourhood while you were here! We hope you do get to come back in summer to have a swim but would be even lovelier if you... More

I was very impressed with the Inchcolm, booked for me by a colleague during a recent business trip to Australia. Although initially alarmed to discover that I was booked on some sort of "Honeymooners" package, this was a purely financial tactic and the sparkling wine and chocolates came in handy during my romantic weekend for one. The hotel made a... More

Thank you so much for your review. We are immensely pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and, by the sounds of it, many of the attributes of our city and our location within it. I had a bit of a giggle re your reading that the Kidman room was so named after the 40 million sheep owner vs Nicole.... More

We were taken with the history and attention to detail in the decor in this intimate setting. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The view from the roof on a clear day is worth the time. The rooms are all individual and very pleasant. Very close to the CBD and Valley, easy access to trains and buses, walking distance... More

Pros: * very clean, comfortable, heritage style accommodation * generous sized room, nice rain head shower & immaculate bathroom * quiet peaceful sleep * fairly central, 5 min drive to Valley, even less if no traffic * polite staff * good value, would stay again Cons: Limited parking available and pricey surcharge if using there parking facilities. Luckily on a... More

Thank you for staying with us and writing your review. So pleased you enjoyed yourself. Fair comment about our parking. It is limited - we've always admitted that. At a rate of $30 per night it is actually reasonable, comparable and competitive in terms of the cost of parking in either metered spots (if you can find one) that are... More

I have stayed in the Inchcolm many times over the past eighteen months and I keep coming back because the hotel has a great sense of character and history about it unlike many modern hotels and the staff are all warm and friendly. It has now become like a home away from home for me when I travel to Brisbane... More

Thank you for your review. We love having so many return guests and the "things" you mention are part of why people keep coming back. We get told frequently by those of you who have to travel a lot for work, that you enjoy the fact that we get to know you all - a lot more than if you... More

Stayed one night for work, was impressed with the hotel foyer which had a funky design. The hotel has plenty of old character with an old school lift from New York. The rooms are very big with comfy beds. We were on the top floor which has outside lights shinning through the windows at night which was annoying. The kitchen... More

Thank you for your review. Whilst we appreciate the desire of some guests to provide anonymous feedback, it would have been very helpful if we had known of the issues with the lights whilst you were here, or at minimum on departure. We did have a problem with the lights to the pool area recently – both a timer and... More

The Inchcolm was another short notice booking during a last minute run around the country. My room was massive, I'm not sure what they are generally like, but in the size front, 2 beds, separate lounge and bathroom was a little excessive for the sole traveler. Personally I'd have traded the mammoth space for a better quality of finish. Sadly... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As we don’t really know who you are, I think I’ve worked that out by a process of elimination and believe you to have been checked into room 207. This is indeed a much larger room than you booked but we had upgraded you from an Inchcolm Suite, which is... More

This hotel is almost perfect on so many levels but had enough ongoing idiosyncracies to eventually fall short of that mark for us. We recently spent an enjoyable four days in lovely Brisbane in one of the Inchcolm's one bedroom apartments comprising bedroom, bathroom, and loungeroom with kitchenette. The apartment does not feel like an hotel, it has a much... More

Thank you for your email. We appreciate your feedback. Just a little feedback of our own. The problem with the lights to the pool was greater than just replacing a switch or reprogramming a timer. The timer required replacing and then a secondary problem with wiring was discovered. That rectification required us to turn off all the power to the... More

Stayed one night in February 2012. Very warm reception. Continental breakfast included...which was ok. Owner came in and gave us maps and directions for lots of attractions not only in Brisbane but what we should see on our way down to Sydney. Room was one bedroom and adequately furnished. Bathroom was quite small. The elevator is a hassle and takes... More

Thank you for writing a review. We appreciate your feedback and that on the whole you enjoyed your stay with us. I accept your comment about street parking. It is indeed challenging in a CBD property - all our city hotels are stricken by the same issue. We are fortunate to have a Loading Zone right outside our property which... More

Excellent location near central station. Very nice, large and well-appointed rooms. Wonderful rooftop pool. Friendly and professional staff. The only small criticisms I could give is that the pillows were too puffy for my liking. Normally hotels will give you 1 of each per person. Here there were two per person but they were all too puffy. Possibly might have... More
