This "hotel" is an overpriced youth hostel at best. Yes you can see how small the room is online but it is really smaller in person (given that most people are able to make things appear bigger in photos) The bed was rock hard as it was just a thin pillow top cover (no thicker than 10cm) on a really... I was really worried after reading all the reviews online. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when I was shown my room. It was small, but clean, neat and practical. It was a double room, but probably too small for 2 guests. There are bigger rooms available. The bed was comfortable, and although the bathroom was very small, it was... More

Boy some people complain about this hotel! Did you do your research? The photos on the site cleary show you how small the room is. What do you expect for "budget". I admit, no window was a bit of a shock! No worries, I was out & about, only went back to shower & sleep. If you are NOT a... More

the sign outside says "affordable excellence". sadly there is nothing excellent about this hotel. the rooms are tiny, the bathroom had mould on the ceiling, the airconditioner was covered in duct tape - which i refused to use out of fear of contracting legionaires disease. the hotel itself smells. for $90 a night i expected something MUCH better. it was... I stayed here for a night with a view to staying more but couldn't stay any longer. We had a bedroom to fit 3, and it was the most cramped room I've ever stayed in... The beds (two in one bunk) had a small walkway and nowhere to put our belongings. I could barely turn in the shower my shoulders... More

We stayed here so that we could walk to the railway terminal at 5am. It is an ideal locate for this if you need to get to the airport via railway. The room is full of unnecessary furniture which meant there was nowhere to put your luggage on the floor. The shower was tiny and I kept hitting the sides... More

Clean enough, but very small room (double) and no windows to the outside world. About 4 paces square and standing room only shower with limited water pressure. But it does not pretend to be anything else. The box air conditioner was just adequate for the room and it would struggle with two people in the room I think. Was not... More

Some friends and I found ourselves in need of CBD accom at late notice, and on a budget. My friends had a double on the 3rd floor and I had a single on the 2nd floor directly below them. Both rooms were identical and on the Turbot St frontage. I found the room to be very clean, but so very... More

We stayed here one night and I was dying for it to be over. The room was no bigger then a bathroom, with no window that opened it was just suffocating being in there. At one stage we had to leave the door open just to get a bit of air in. It would have to be one of the... More
