Me and my friends stayed for one night at emu park as we were travelling with oz experience to kroombit cattle station, and this is where our bus was picking us up from. When we arrived at the main bus terminal in rockhampton, we were greeted by a friendly man, paul who is the owner of emu park. They run... More

This place is a half hour drive out of the city but is pretty good. We stayed for one night on two occasions. Little bit expensive at $85 per night for a double but the rooms are new and clean, kitchen is ok and there is an outdoor area with pool, bar and pool table. Also lounge room. We had... More

We only stayed at this hostel for one night - but what a great place, we wish we'd stayed for a week. Location is outside of the main town but in the Emu Park. We we're picked up from the greyhound bus station for free and the guy was really friendly. The room was really nice and clean, with a... More

I agree with the others. The rooms are spacious, the beds are great and there is a tv (does not work all the time and there are just a few working chanels, but there is a tv). There is a pool, internet+wifi (not for free though), a TV room with a great TV, a small kitchen with a big fridge.... More

Amazing place. Gorgeous, all centered around the pool. Rooms are spacious and clean, with no bunks! What more could you ask for. The couple who ran the hostel were really friendly and organised. Everything seemed under control the whole time. They also employed backpackers to clean the kitchen. Lots of information in the rooms about what to do in the... More

We were rescued by Paul the day before new years eve as we were trying to get out of Rockhampton due to the floods. As the greyhounds werent going I couldnt think about going back to Rockhampton YHA which was AWFUL! Paul spoke to those stranded at the bus stop and we decided to use our free night that we... More

Stayed here for a night on the way up to Airlie Beach. Loved the look of the Capricorn Coast, especially the road from Emu Park to Yepoon. As for the hostel, mmmm, the room initially looked great. However the double bed was two beds joined together (I hate that) and I also hate it when the bed quite literally, moved... More

It's a shame that you didn't enjoy your night here with us at Emus Beach Resort. I am sorry that you don't like King Size Beds, which are predominately 2 singles joined together with a comfortable overlay. This is pretty standard in most hotels I've stayed in, and we've tried to make our hostel a bit more than a standard... More

This hotel has a lot going for it, newly renovated with a bar, pool and laundry facilities. Even though I was in a quad share the room was big enough for 4 single beds, no bunks. We had a big bathroom with plenty of space for all our toiletries. Great for an overnighter but not a lot to do in... More

I was travelling through Australia last year, and completely forgot to write a review. I have never seen such dedication, and hospitality from such a lovely group of people as I have at Emus Beach Resort! It was amazing. The room was impeccably clean, spacious and there was only 3 beds in the room (not 12, like most places). It... More

We have stayed here a couple of times now for a short family holiday. At the front of the resort are several hotel style rooms with their own bathroom. For $110 a night (a bargain to accomodate a family these days)...our room was basically a medium size room with a double bed and two single beds, a fridge, a TV... More
