I've been in an 6 share female room. Very smelly. Airconditioner was far too cold, they didn't want to turn it off. Store your language for free. Staff was very helpful with carrying the bags upstairs, cause they don't have a lift. Small kitchen. Cleaners are not very tidy.

Even for a very short stay, I can safely say that this hostel has very huge potential of becoming one of the top 5 hostels in Melbourne. The facilities are wide range. They have free stuff and paid stuff. Fair enough. Nothing cn be more central than their location. Just a few steps downhill is the Southern Cross Station where... More

I stayed here for 3 months and loved it. Great location,2 mins from southern cross, great 24 hr common area and kitchen, free Internet, a few free meals. The big dorms are cramped but there is lockers. I'm sure there's cheaper around but it's very central, would recomend.

I stayed in another hostel in Australia and this one was superb compared to the other location. I found the price a bit much for a single room, but for its location, I would say it was fair. One desk staff (Morry) was particularly helpful. He was very accommodating to everyone, and made sure the guests were taken care of.... More

I stayed here for a short 2 night trip to Melbourne. I chose it for location and price, its literally 5 mins walk to southern cross station and trams are around the corner too. Its a basic cheap hostel with no frills but it was clean and well run and all i needed for my stay. What I really liked... More

After reading some of the other reviews of this hostel, I was a little worried, but it was fine and exceeded expectation. The location is great - less than 5 minutes walk to Southern Cross Station. I didn't find it overly noisy like some other reviewers have (although some parts of it smelt a bit). The rooms were well kept... More

If you are arriving late or leaving early it is a great place as it is just 2 minutes far from the bus station ! Also there is always someone at the reception so great when nothing is booked and just arriving in the middle of the jetlag :-) Windows are very thin and the street quite busy (nightclub +... More

Location is good, service is non Service is non existant. House cleaning ... What's that? Apparently they didn't allow in this years budget for vacuum cleaners but they 'sweep' your room. No elavators, no bar, no visitors allowed. Cheap, but I've paid the same elsewhere and had such a better experience. Never again..
