Staying at Glendalough should be one of the main Melbourne attractions! Of course, as a B&B it has none of the sterile, anonymous features of a hotel, but even as a B&B it is so special because of Stan. He really " knocks himself out" to be a terrific host - pick ups from the airport for a small fee,... More

The Glendalough B&B has been a perfect accomodation for my stay in Melbourne. The house is beautiful, always clean and warm. The location is very near to the centre of the city, but not too noisy as a big city centre can be....a lot of green and nice neighbourghood. However, the real strenght of this B&B is its host, Stan,... More

This was our first stop for our honeymoon. For a small fee Stan collected us from the airport which is 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic even with our flight being delayed by an hour,. We stayed in 'The Piano' room which had a Grand Piano and beautiful decorative ceilings. Breakfast was cereals, fruit, yogurt and selection of breads also... More

We arrived at Glendalough about an hour earlier than expected (8 a.m.) which might throw lesser hosts into a tailspin. However, Stan began our early arrival with the ease, effortless hospitality and grace he displayed throughout our three night stay. Glendalough is 15-30 minutes from the airport (depending on traffic), on the northwest side of Melbourne. You are a brief... More

We continue to be delighted by the Glendalough Bed & Breakfast experience. It is a lovely, peaceful place to come to: cool and welcoming in the summer weather with a lush garden. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfasts delicious. Those unaccustomed to Melbourne need not worry as Stan will provide all the information and assistance needed to get... More

We are so happy that our regular guests continue to enjoy the ambience and tranquility of our small B&B. Even when the weather was extremely hot this month in Melbourne, we managed to escape most of the heat. Thankyou. More

Stan, the proprietor, was a wonderful host - thoughtful, considerate and most convivial. He provides collection to/ from the airport for a modest fee and gives a "travelogue" on the journey which is welcome - this facility "adds considerable value" to the experience at Glendalough. Upon arrival, Stan provided lots of information about the area and the public transport options;... More

My husband and I stayed at Glendalough for three nights in December just prior to Christmas. It is a beautiful old house and Stan could not be a more inviting and helpful host. We walked in to the smell of fresh pine as the Christmas tree was being put up. While we used to live in Melbourne Stan was still... More

We had a wonderful time staying at Glendalough B & B. Stan, our host, is just a great person who helped with tram tickets, schedules, attractions and general good company. There was always a cup of tea with him in the evening when we returned from our city ventures. The B & B is about 3 blocks from a major... More

We stayed one night at Stan's B&B. We had a wonderful time. Stan is a perfect host, he gave us a lot of informations, he provided us with the weekend tram tickets, he gave us maps. He also picked and dropped us from/at the airport. We also had the pleasure to share a lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant (a meal... More

Situated in a nice residential area, this house is such a relaxing place to stay. Clean, nicely decorated and homely. Stan (the owner) picked us up very late at night from the airport and served us wine and snacks at arrival to the house after travelling for more than 24 hours from Europe. Stan is such a kind gentleman. We... More
