I travel to Melbourne every month for work and I stay at the Mantra every time. Professional and efficient check-in and check-out, wonderfully spacious rooms and so handy to all the best places in Melbourne. I recently travelled to Melbourne and was unable to get a room at the Mantra (I think the tennis was on) and I stayed elsewhere... More

The 2 bedroom family apartment are spacious but dated, good kitchen poor bathroom. Great location and helpful staff. Poor cleanliness, on both occasions housekeeping failed miserably on cleaning our room. not really worth the money, unless you really want a spacious living room.

The rooms are in need of a refurb. Heating cannot be adequately controlled thus it was very hot and stuffy preventing a good sleep. No remote for the tv and the drama to get one took 4 staff and 5 hours. The breakfast included is misleading, you get $20 credit but fair to say you can get breakfast fir that.... More

We stayed here while I had a conference and my husband had business. The room was large with a kitchenette. The view was surprisingly nice out onto Little Bourke St itself, leafy and a view of the domed law library, the street was quiet at night. The entrance to the hotel is a bit spartan and there is a bar... More

Was pleasantly suprised when the hotels website didn't do the hotel justice and exceeded my expectations. From the moment of arrival the staff were friendly and accomodating. The room was large, clean and the furniture was in great condition. I had no problem with the airconditioning and the temperature of the room was easily adjustable. Located centrally and was within... More

I thought by paying $170 for a room for one night for myself & my girlfriend the room would be a little more modern, the bath & shower & iron, hair blow waver were from the early 1980's & the heating in the room was absolutely shocking; it was like it was on about 30 degrees, we sweated all night... Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear your stay was not enjoyable & that you were unable to sleep due to the temperature in the room. We have recently upgraded our air-conditioning/heating system so we are surprised to hear there was an issue & apologise sincerely. Regarding your breakfast, I am not sure of the details of... More

Recently had a weeks stay in wheelchair accessible room. We were on 1st floor near lift and were very happy with the room. It was very large with a kitchen dining area and then the bedroom separated by half a wall. There were two queen beds, a flat screen TV in both areas, microwave, cook top and sufficient cooking utensils.The... More

large clean rooms, staff very friendly, they went out of their way to make a room available when we checked in early and my wife was ill. Would recommend this hotel. Handy location to shopping and football.

Stayed at the Mantra in a deluxe room which was centrally located in Melbourne, easy access to everything for 5 nights, went with a girlfriend who was there for business and mine was leisure. First time there found everything once I got my bearings. Reasonably price, breakfast included to the value of $20, rooms very clean, service great.

We recently stayed at The Mantra for a girls weekend. Great location, very handy to public transport, CBD and restaurants (some great ones in Hardware Lane). We stayed in 2 interconnecting 2bedroom apts. The rooms were nice, with a good size bathroom, mostly clean (although shower could do with a good scrub), no noise, and nice and dark for sleeping...
