I have stayed here a couple of times for business and decided to stay here for a weekend shopping trip. The location is perfect, the breakfast is basic but good. There can be some outside noise heard but it's is really not an issue when you consider that the hotel is right in the hub of Melbourne CBD. This is... More

Great location for shopping and getting around Melbourne CBD. Stayed for the weekend and found our executive twin rooms to be generous and clean. You can hear some street noise at night so ask for a high level room and not facing Collin St (thought the view is better if you do face Collin Street...) Continental buffet breakfast was basic... There is nothing special about this hotel, except that it is in the absolute heart of Melbourne! Walk out of the hotel lobby and you are in the centre of the shopping precinct; it is a 2 minute wander to the tram line; and, great little restaurants are everywhere you look. The location is perfect! It is by no means... More

We stayed two nights in January while we shopped and attended the Australian Open. Unfortunately wasn't overly happy with how much they hike up the price for events like this. But it seems we were upgraded to a loft/spa room. Only problem was, we got the room next to the elevator. Room was clean and tidy, bathroom could do with... More

i have to admit i wasn't planning to spend alot in Melbourne and we had a relatively good deal at causeway hotel but,,,, there is a shuttle from the airport to the hotel (2 mns walking) and it is at the center of everything 2 steps from a good bakery house, less than 20 feet from david jones and you... Recently stayed overnight and again found this accommodation good value for money. Central location allows for easy walking around the city, even over to Rod Laver arena in the evening. We were on the 3rd floor, and room was very clean and comfortable, also quiet during the night with no street noise. Bathroom in good clean condition, but a little... More

My wife and I have just had three nights at this hotel. The third floor room was small but well appointed with average bathroom facilities. Our rate of $250 included breakfast which was a very good continental style. The reception staff were excellent in providing information on Melbourne activities. I would not advise staying here if you are driving since... More

I stayed in this hotel for Australian open tennis for 3 nights. It was a nice little 3 star hotel. Nothing extraordinary. The price is good value. Right in the middle of the city. The facilities are a little dated. But OK.

Stayed here over the grand prix weekend having read positive reviews on Tripadvisor. I had a double room on the 5th (top) floor which was on the small side but was otherwise very comfortable, although the bathroom fittings were starting to show their age - bathroom had just a small shower with curtain but was fine. I didn't eat in... More

I booked this hotel for my son after reading the reviews from other patrons. He was travelling overseas by himself for the first time. He needed a place where it is really convenient and easy to get transport to the Flemington Showgrounds. This Hotel met all the criteria I was looking for. It was in a safe location in the... More
