Mornington is a huge private nature reserve run by Austrlalian Wildlife Conservancies, whose mission is to buy up habitat for endangered species and then manage it scientifically. At Mornington they have de-stocked and are using special fire management techniques with considerable success to reestablish small mammal populations. Mornington is about an 8 hour drive or, as we did it, just a one and a half hour flight by light plane, East of Broome. I really enjoyed staying in the tents at Mornington. They are very well appointed and comfortable, the food was excellent and the tours of the area were fantastic. A well kept secret.

Stayed in one of the provided 'tented' sites, loved the location and the food from the restaurant. The fact that I could have a port after dinner was magnificent. Loved it, I will be back.
